Software Update: Now Available! – Avid Media Composer 6.5.0.1, Symphony 6.5.0.1, and NewsCutter 10.5.0.1
The Media Composer 6.5.0.1, Symphony 6.5.0.1 and NewsCutter 10.5.0.1 maintenance releases are now available for download from either the Avid Download Center (login and password required), or from the customer’s Avid account used for “Activation Card” purchases.
These updates are available at no charge for all Media Composer 6.5, Symphony 6.5, and NewsCutter 10.5 owners.
These new software updates include:
Support for the new Sony XDCAM AMA Plug-in version 2.1
XDCAM and XCAM EX Support
FrameChase Editing with Sony XDCam Station (XDS Series)
Support for an updated version of the Sony SR SStP plug-in (HDCAM SR)
No longer have to uninstall the P2 or XDCAM before performing a legacy P2 or XDCAM import
